French Instructor

I have a passion for the French language that developed when I took my first language class at age 14. I would love to work with children that have an interest in the French language. I also know how trying it can be to learn a second language and that you can have good days and bad days. I feel as if I am empathetic to students who are struggling with classroom exercises, phrases, verbs, etc, and just need some one on one time. It truly excites me when I see a student finally "get it" and can apply what she or he has learned in the classroom.
The Basics:
- Masters Candidate for TESOL at CUNY Hunter, expected 2013
- University at Buffalo, 2008, B.A. in French literature and language
- I have extensively studied the French language for 11 years and have lived in both Paris and the South of France. I continue to study French despite being out of college. I have a very firm grasp on the language and the culture.
- During the 2009-2010 school year, I lived in Southern France teaching English. I was also enrolled in a French University and was completely engulfed in the French culture. During school breaks I devoted my time to language workshops and also tutored privately on the side.
