I recently moved to New York City after graduating from Harvard in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Dramatic Arts. Growing up as the youngest of 3 boys, I always missed the opportunity to nurture a younger sibling. Thus, in college I became extremely involved in working with children, and I now count it as one of my primary passions. I have worked as a teacher, mentor, and tutor to students ranging in age from 6-18, on a wide spectrum of subjects ranging from elementary to college preparatory.
I think that studying the performing arts is an incredibly valuable tool for any young mind. I have always sought to teach "life skills through stage skills," including self-confidence, self-expression, creativity, and collaboration. Watching students blossom out of their once-timid selves into open and passionate young minds never ceases to be a source of joy.
I am incredibly drawn to children’s energy, enthusiasm, and honesty, and find spending time with them—whether in the classroom, on stage, or on the playground—one of the most rewarding uses of my time.
